Turkey treats more than a million international patients a year, and orthopedics is one of the fastest-growing specialties. Three factors explain the shift.
Clinical quality. Turkey has one of the largest concentrations of Joint Commission International (JCI) accredited hospitals in the world. Surgeons train in Turkish university programmes and complete fellowships in Europe and North America, and private hospital groups operate high-volume joint, spine and sports-medicine units with modern implants and robotic systems.
Access and logistics. Istanbul's airports connect directly to more than 300 destinations. Surgery can usually be scheduled within two to four weeks of record review, compared with waits of many months in public systems.
Transparent pricing. Turkish hospitals quote all-inclusive package prices that bundle surgeon, anaesthesia, implants, hospital stay and transfers. Prices are typically 50 to 70 percent lower than self-pay prices in the US, UK or Germany, without compromising on implants or technique.
Orthopedics Abroad adds the missing layer: independent surgeon matching, medical record review before you commit, and one coordinator from first call to final follow-up.
